Rush rocks, but my favorite of all time is Lynyrd Skynyrd. Pink Floyd, Sammy Hagar (pre VH), Van Halen with either DLR or Sammy, Dream Theater, Def Leppard, Metallica, REO Speedwagon...I have too many other classic favorites to mention. Then you have the more recent stuff, like Creed, Nickleback, Bush, Coldplay, Hoobastank, Staind, Shinedown, Switchfoot, Three Doors Down, Trapt...It's all great stuff.

DANG IT, I’m getting old.

.......Creed, Nickleback, Bush, Coldplay, Hoobastank, Staind, Shinedown, Switchfoot, Three Doors Down, Trapt....

Who, who, who and who?   You’re making those names up, right?

DANG IT, I’m getting old.  At least I know who the girl is in RayRay’s avatar.

Taking a big jump from the other thread about the Melting Pot, if you do go there you better like the Rat Pack because that’s all they play.

Come to think of it, heck, that may be the name of some modern band I don’t know about.  Best I explain.  Rat Pack = Dean, Frank, Sammy, Joey and Peter. If you can’t figure out the last names of at least three on this list then never mind.  DANG IT, I’m getting old.

My favorite of all time?  Billy Joel.  Fav song?  Tie between “She’s always a woman” and a song he professed to never sing again “Just the Way You Are”

DANG IT, I’m getting old.

Who’s the other guy singing in Van Halen?
When did Motley Crew become classic rock?
And when did Ozzy become an actor?
Please make this stop
Stop!
And bring back

Springstein, Madonna
way before Nirvana
there was U2 and Blondie
and music still on MTV

Hey Doug, Sorry bud, I'm not making any of these names up. I'm (slowly) getting old too, but I guess I'm still not growin' up LOL!!! For what it's worth, I'm 38 years old, but I still like hardcore rock-n-roll. I do know about the Rat Pack..Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, Joey Bishop and Peter Lawford. They were all great entertainers in their time.

To answer your questions...

Van Halen had three lead singers:
   *David Lee Roth (founding lead)
   *Gary Cherone (big mistake)
   *Sammer Hagar (latest lead)

Motley Crue was founded in 1981, so if they were a car, they could enjoy "collector" licence plates (over 20 years old).

As for Ozzy...well he Ozzy. He can do whatever-the-hell he...errr...Sharron let's him do!

I still remember when MTV played music too. My favorite show was "Headbangers Ball" with Rikki Rachtman. But today you'd be lucky to even find a commercial with any decent music on MTV...Oh well

Actually, Rick will do. I see on your site you kinda live in the center of Greenville. I'm out by the airport on Spencer Road. Not a bad town, but I wish they picked up the leaves like Appleton does. I have an acre lot and LOTS of yard clean-up to do yet before the snow flies.

The Toys will be playing at The Bar in Oshkosh on Friday.   Good band, saw them at The Bar on Holmgren after a Packer game.  They are worth checking out.
