I almost hate to ask this but, what's the status on Slipknot?  Kept hearing how it'll be open on this date and that date . . .

I believe they don't want to waste the grand opening on us boaters so they're going to wait till january and have a big party for the ice fisherman  ::)

The Slipknot is FINALLY OPEN!,very nice inside,promises to be the hotspot boating.

believe we're gonna hit there for Fish Fry tonite and see how it looks....

hopefully the gift cert we had from the old place is good with the new one...hehehe

The word around Fremont is the Grand Opening will be the weekend of February 4th. 

I was there until 11pm on New Year's Eve...it was busy, but the age group was mid 30's-50's and I guess they had a band lined up, but it fell through.  Ended up in A-town.

I’m in the process of researching and writing an article about the Wisconsin battle of 1827 with the Ho-Chunk Indian chief Red Bird and the roll the grounds occupied by the slipknot in Fremont, Red Banks, High Cliff and Prairie du Chien played in this extraordinary legend. 

I hope to have it done, at least a alpha draft by this weekends Winnebago Rally meeting at 1:00 PM at the Slipknot.

The Slipknot opened last Nov and the bar/restaurant are functional. The place shoud be very lively this summer as Pete has bands booked for every Sunday afternoon through Sept 1st. Lots of Blues and Jazz is what I hear. Awaiting details so that I can update the website for him. www.theslipknot.com

The bar had Rockin' Jake on Wed night and they played for all of 20 people. This was truly a hot blues and jazz band. Maybe the best I'd ever heard. Too bad that Pete doesn't get it about radio and newsprint advertising...oh well.

Sunday afternoon they have the Joe Moss band.
