Major Ski Lift Accident at Devils Head

The report is that the brakes on the lift failed and the lift started running backwards.

Just a word of advice on this situation.  If you ever find yourself on a ski lift moving rapidly backwards down hill because of a failed brake or any other reason....YOU JUMP OFF THAT LIFT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!  The possible broken leg you may get will pale in comparison to the damage that will be inflicted at the bottom of the lift.
