Ok Brad.. I found you a boat thats damn nice....

2002 Stingray 240CR with 2006 trailer. Approx 100 hours on engine.
$ 18,500.00 negotiable
The Stingray 240CR is a trailerable 24ft cuddy cruiser that debuted in the Stingray boat lineup in 2002. It has seating in the cockpit for 7 comfortably, more if squeezed in. It has a very roomy cuddy that is quite comfortable for 2 adults, my wife and I have spent many nights anchored in a quiet cove, grilling out, and sleeping soundly. This boat is equipped with 2 more important features, a factory installed alcohol stove, and a pump-out head. With this equipment, the 240CR qualifies for second home tax credit, allowing the interest on a loan to be tax deductible! This boat is still produced today as the 250CR which has a slightly larger swim platform.
I’ve detailed the specifics on this particular boat below…
TECHNICAL
-350MAG, 300 horsepower Mercruiser, this was the most powerful engine and drive combo that was available on this boat in 2002. This powerplant is electronically fuel injected, which eliminates the possibility of flooding the engine and makes cold starts a breeze, with no need to pump the throttle. It will start just as easily as your car.
And it’s FAST. This boat will embarrass some Bajas, most SeaRays, and any Mastercraft ever made. How fast? I’ve hit 55mph on my GPS many times when lightly loaded. This boat is also equipped with a Corsa stainless steel Captains Call exhaust system that was custom installed. This was not even an option on this boat in 2002, but I installed it myself in 2008 at a cost of $1100.00. Captain’s Call allows this boat to sound like a go-fast boat when blasting down the water, but allows quiet operation at the marina, all at the flip of a switch. (FYI, I know I’m biased, but this boat sounds just incredible while idling, or when flying across the lake) If you appreciate the sound of a 70 Chevelle, then you can imagine how this boat sounds. It’s making me smile while typing this.
As powerful as this boat is, don’t think it’s a gas hog. The tank holds 68 gallons but on an average day at the lake we would only use about ¼ tank of fuel, and on the worst day of running and tubing and skiing, it was only a little over ½ tank.
¼ tank = 17 gallons x $3.00 per gallon = $51.00 for a day on the lake, not bad at all.
-Bravo 3 Mercruiser twin prop sterndrive, also an option, this drive makes acceleration very brisk, and makes dockside handling very easy, especially in reverse. This is a big advantage over similar boats equipped with Alpha drives, there is no comparison! The stainless steel prop set is in like new condition, with no major dings or dents.
ELECTRONICS
-Garmin 182C color moving map GPS chartplotter with mount and remote installed Garmin antenna. Also includes inland lakes and fishing hotspots database, including detailed underwater topography of basically every lake in North America. This is INVALUABLE when navigating at night or visiting unfamiliar and /or shallow lakes, trust me! This has points of interest, marina info, and much more.
-ICOM M402s Marine VHF radio, nicely flush mounted into dash, with Shakespeare 3foot folding whip antenna. This radio features DSC, mayday, dual watch, custom channel labeling, and weather band alert.
-CLARION M475 MARINE cd head unit was professionally installed in spring of 2007 and includes Clarion marine amplifier and additional Infinity Marine 6x9 speakers custom installed in the cockpit. This system has XM satellite radio built in, as well as an iPod hookup. This is a substantial improvement over the stock Kenwood system. I also replaced the stock helm remote with the Clarion display remote and a second display remote on the swim platform, so you can change the tunes or volume without even getting out of the water. As I look back at my records, I see that I spent over $1500.00 just on the stereo upgrade.
TRAILER
-The boat is a 2002 but the trailer is a 2006 model Wesco aluminum dual axle with disc brakes. These brakes are very good, and make towing this rig a pleasure. In addition, the trailer has vertical guides that properly align the boat every time you load.
