Well, if you can imagine I am going to celebrate in two cities before midnight. Gb and Appleton via a limo I believe. So excited! I love the bubbly!

Not sure to spend it in GB or Appleton.  I live in GB so we'd get a room and stay the night in appleton.  However, there is a Packer game the next day, so we'd be driving up in all that traffic.  I don't know if I want to deal with that.  We may just stay in GB.

Any opinions?  Appleton or GB?

Any suggestions on where to go In Appleton?  (Speaks is an option, of course as suggested by Squatch).

Well, I went out in GB last night and people are getting hotels and going out. As far as Appleton, last year it was pretty busy but fun. By midnight I ducked into Philling station and someone handed me a bottle of bubbly and in a minute it was 12:00 so wherever you go people are having fun. It is always a good time! Lines will probably be long so plan ahead. Also cabs are free so plan ahead because they will be backed up too! Have fun!

Thanks for the info.  Turns out we'll be in GB all night tonight.  No dinner--that always ends up being way too much hassle on New Year's Eve.  Keeping it low key this year.  Probably start with a couple of glasses of Merlot at a nice place around 7.  Then on to a martini bar for a couple.   Round off the night dancing.

Here's an idea for all you text message junkies like me.  On my cell, I created a group of my friends with text capability.  I preprogrammed HAPPY NEW YEAR and will be sending it at midnight.  It'll go to about 15 of my friend's phones.  Cool idea, I think.
